Books Read in 1977

Following on from July’s Books Read in 1976.

And my reading tally is up to 155 titles this year, an increase of 22 on 1976. Science Fiction continues to dominate the list, with a smattering of literary fiction to add flavour, and I opened the year with a strong showing in the genre art category.

For new discoveries, I was particularly struck by James Joyce, Hubert Selby Jnr, Joanna Russ and James Tiptree Jnr.

And on my 23rd birthday I was reading Tales from the White Hart, which comes as a surprise as I don’t have much time for Arthur C. nowadays.
