Do please keep writing to Her Maj, as I quite like the idea of being Sir Pete, though a peerage might be even better. Baron Pete of Norfolk has quite a ring to it, I feel. And I could put the redoubtable Mr Bruno on my coat of arms, whether he wants to be there or not.

You need to refresh your 'review reading' skill set. I did mention the negative points - the fact that it was only available in POD, a sad state of affairs that thankfully Dog Horn have now rectified. Any day now, I expect to hear that you are giving E. R. James a good thrashing in the bestseller charts.

I'm surprised you haven't received a knighthood yet: I've written to the Old Dear three times about it already. In the first review, I have to thank the Man from Porlock for arriving just as you were about to list the various negative points. As for the second, although Nitrospective is indeed sunning itself in Spain (or would be if the sun could get through the clouds of dust that have settled over it), I haven't had time to read it, but I have devoured other hookies, and you hit th e old nail right on its wotsit by stressing the wonderfully ambiguous nature of his stories, that sense of not quite being able to pin down, to grasp emotions, intentions, stories that tend to leave you slightly perplexed in the best possible way.

Might get Onion Songs. Unfortunately Dark World: Ghost stories doesn't seem to be available for my USA kindle. And I'm thinking--million dollar postage and handling for a hard copy. In any case, thanks for good info.

Human monsters are the most scary, because the non-human monsters are 'made up' even when they touch on real concerns, but we all know people who are only a whisker away from being sociopaths.

Anyway, enough of The Imaginary Girlfriend.
